Rebollar

Rebollar

[ 1 / 3 ]

Surrounded by some of the city’s most important art galleries, this property is composed almost like a Tetris puzzle, with spaces that invite different uses and intersections. It begins with a mid-20th-century house that has expanded in different directions over time, creating new programs discreetly woven into its winding vegetation.

[ 2 / 3 ]

The top floor is occupied by an apartment with a garden and enormous windows that blur the boundary between indoors and out. A long corridor connects the different areas of the house, whose interiors unfold along it. A third-floor garden, a courtyard with a reflecting pool, and the proximity of the treetops insulate the space from any sense of the city.

[ 3 / 3 ]

In the neighboring house, a large courtyard connects several workspaces. These culminate in a soaring library that houses the collections of one of Mexico’s most important architects, Agustín Hernández. The space is open to the public for consultation free of charge.
