For the past five years, this altar has served as a place of remembrance and celebration, where offerings become a living bridge connecting those of us who remain with those who have passed away, linking generations across time.

In the heart of the Juárez neighborhood, within the century-old General Prim complex, Proyectos Públicos and Planta DB are once again joining forces with artisans, artists, and cultural organizers to bring the 2025 Day of the Dead Altar to life .

In every offering, every piece, and every story, the artisans remind us that tradition does not die: it transforms and remains with us.

From the Afterlife to Jalisco: Among Nahuales, Saints, and Legends at the 2025 Day of the Dead Altar

This year, from October 30 to November 2, we are once again opening our free Day of the Dead altar to the public, designed as a community gathering that honors the sacred, the mythical, and Mexican traditions.
Textures, traditions, and symbols intertwine on an altar that portrays Jalisco as a living map of crafts and knowledge passed down from generation to generation.

The altar features pieces created by master artisans from Tonalá, Tlaquepaque, Tequila, Zacoalco de Torres, Colotlán, and Guadalajara. Notable participants include the family of Enrique Arzola, Ana Cornejo, siblings José, Isabel, and Zenón Pajarito Fajardo, Jaime Vázquez, and Arnulfo Vázquez Rodríguez, as well as the families behind Equipales Imperial and the Central de Vidrio Soplado de Jalisco glassblowing factory.
