Prim's Coope: Provechito!

At Proyectos Públicos we build community not only in studios or offices, but also in spaces where everyday life becomes common bonds. In Jardín Prim, one of our premises, there is a warm kitchen where we share our meals amidst conversations and aromas that evoke home: La Coope de Prim. More than a dining room, it is a space where creatives, guests, friends and those of us who are part of Proyectos Públicos meet every day to converse and coincide.

Within its exposed brick walls, The Coope is an intimate and warm dining room. A sort of refuge for the community of Public Projectswhere homemade, tasty and accessible food is offered, designed to feed both those who live in the space, as well as those who join it: guests, friends and allies...

Chef Itzel Castro, who has been in charge of this project since its inception, is very aware of the role of food in this project.

"Food has the power to bring people together and create a sense of belonging. I believe it is important to offer affordable home-cooked food in this context because it allows everyone to have access to nutritious and delicious food, regardless of their economic situation. Homemade food is an act of love and at La Coope we strive to offer it in the best way. There is nothing more comforting than taking a bite and thinking that love tastes good too."

Cooking is not an individual task, it is a collective act. The wooden tables invite you to open yourself to different conversations, the warm lights to linger and the food to enjoy both the dish and the company.

La Coope is not a restaurant. It is a kitchen that we all build together. A gesture of daily hospitality or as the Chef mentions, "it is a space where we can work together, share experiences and create something that benefits everyone. A way to imagine community from food and care."

The Coope is not yet open to the general public. Stay tuned for the opening on our ig: @proyectospublicos
